IxANVL Release 6.90 Overview

IxANVL (Ixia Automated Network Validation Library) Release 6.90 is now available for general distribution.

New Features

  • DHCP Conformance Test Suite - designed to test both DHCP (IPv4 addressing) client and server according to RFC 2131.
  • IGMPv3 Conformance Test Suite - available as part of existing IGMP test suite. Customers with maintenance contract will get free upgrade to include this test suite.
  • MEF9 Metro Ethernet Conformance Test Suite - designed to validate Metro Ethernet Forum MEF9 specification and IOMETRIX Test Plan.
  • L2 MPLS VPN Conformance Test Suite - designed to test PWE3 control protocol, and Pseudo Wire encapsulation for Ethernet, ATM, and PPP/HDLC.

Updates

  • iSCSI Conformance Test Suite has been updated to support RFC 3720.
  • OSPF Conformance Test Suite now supports RFC 3101 OSPF Not-So-Stubby Area (NSSA).
  • IxANVL now supports Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.
  • New configuration wizards are now available for BGP4 Core and BGP Plus Test Suites. All new test suites now come with configuration wizards.
  • New "Inconclusive" test result status to identify tests that fail prior to reaching the intended test steps.
