IxANVL 8.65 EA is an "Early Adopter" release. It provides enhancements for the test suites of Openflow1.3 and CE2.0. It also includes the bug fixes since the previous release.
The following is a brief description of the enhanced test suites:
- Enhanced Suites
- OpenFlow 1.3: This test suite is based on the OpenFlow Switch Specification Version 1.3.2 (Wire Protocol 0x04). 126 new test cases are added.
- CE2.0: This test suite is based on Carrier Ethernet 2.0 Test Plan. 58 additional test cases for ETREE and 88 test cases for EACCESS are added.
IxOS Compatibility
IxANVL 8.65 EA requires IxOS 6.60 EA Patch1 or higher if operating with VNIC (v3.60) on the Ixia load modules.
NOTE: To ensure proper operation of a client with supported IxOS versions, prior to installing this application release you must un-install all previous versions of Ixia applications, Ixia StatEngine, Ixia StatEngine PCPU packages and IxOS. After the un-installations are complete, the client must be rebooted.

(IxANVL supports the US English versions of the Windows OS. Although, IxANVL may run on other versions of Windows OS, they are not officially supported by Ixia. If you attempt to install or run IxANVL on any version of Windows OS other than the U.S. English versions, the IxANVL installation or operation may fail.)

Important Note:
Java has a known caveat that requires an extra rpm file, xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-6.8.2-31.i386.rpm, that sometimes is not installed by default on an RHE 5.0 machine. As the IxANVL installeris a Java-based application, it is required that this file be installed in order to function normally. Please refer to the Linux installation notes below for a workaround to fix this problem.
